Tyler Rea

Tyler began playing volleyball on the intramural team at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN while pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and minor in business. Fortunately, men’s volleyball is a growing sport in MN now. He began his coaching career with the U16, U17, and U18’s teams at Club Tonka in Minnetonka, MN. He was also the head coach of the strength and conditioning program at Club Tonka, with a focus on agility and injury prevention. Fun fact, Club Tonka is where our club director (TJ Shultz) began his coaching career. Tyler coached at Club Tonka for three years before joining the Navy and moving to Rhode Island for Officer Candidate School.

Tyler continues to play in adult leagues, tournaments, and for fun. He just moved to Pennsylvania on new military orders from the Virginia Beach area with his wife (Kali Rea) and Great Dane (Winter). He is excited to be a part of the Fusion family and is looking forward to coaching the U17 Gray team with his wife!
