Sam Heffer

Sam started playing volleyball in middle school and is a graduate of Plainedge HS on Long Island, NY. She played club volleyball at Club Ace Long Island (CALI) and then went on to play four years at Western New England University as a right side hitter. In her last year, she was named the Senior Scholar Athlete of the Commonwealth Coast Conference for performance on and off the court. She continues to play in local tournaments and leagues, both indoor and outdoor.

Sam first began coaching while still in high school to help teach the game of volleyball to her sister’s church league team and has previously coached for Prevail volleyball club before coming to Fusion VBC.  This is her 6th year coaching for Fusion VBC in 2025/26.
